Preview Using Envizi Assistant

IBM® Assistant is an AI-powered conversational assistant that helps you navigate IBM Envizi ESG Suite, answer questions, and find relevant documentation quickly. Envizi Assistant is in preview.

Envizi Assistant uses the product documentation to answer queries about Envizi. Use Envizi Assistant to do the following tasks:
  • Find documentation and guidance for specific features and workflows.
  • Get step-by-step instructions for common tasks.
  • Gain a deeper understanding about ESG topics.
  • Troubleshoot issues and learn best practices.
  • Begin a conversation with context aware quick start questions.

Accessing Envizi Assistant

The assistant is available to all user roles with no additional permissions required, unless an administrator disables it for your organization.
  • To open the assistant, click the Envizi Assistant icon in the header bar in any page in the Envizi ESG Suite application.
  • To open the assistant with hot keys, press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows).

Asking questions

Ask questions in natural language about any aspect of Envizi ESG Suite. You can ask questions such as:

Data management
  • How do I get started with Envizi?
  • How do I create a new account in Envizi?
  • How do I bulk load data by using templates?
ESG reporting
  • What are the steps for TCFD disclosure reporting?
  • How do I extract data to prepare a CDP submission?
  • What data do I need for GRI reporting?
Emissions calculations
  • How do I calculate Scope 3 emissions?
  • What's the difference between market-based and location-based accounting?
  • Where are emission factors sourced?

Continue asking follow-up questions in the same conversation. The assistant remembers the context from earlier in the conversation.

Access your previous conversations from the sidebar. Your conversation history is saved automatically.

Pin important conversations for quick access later.

Responses that discuss Envizi ESG Suite functionality contain links to source documentation.
Saved preferences
The assistant remembers your preferences across sessions.

Providing feedback

Help improve Envizi Assistant by rating responses:

  • Click 👍 (thumbs up icon) when a response is helpful.
  • Click 👎 (thumbs down icon) when a response needs improvement.
  • Optionally add a comment that explains what worked or what might be better.

Your feedback helps improve the assistant's accuracy and usefulness for all users.

Privacy and security

Envizi Assistant follows IBM security and privacy protocols:

  • All conversations remain within your Envizi ESG Suite environment.
  • Your data is not used to train AI models.
  • Standard Envizi ESG Suite access controls and data governance policies apply.
  • Your organization can completely disable the assistant at Admin > Organization Preferences.

Future use cases

The Envizi Assistant will grow to become an integral part of the Envizi ESG Suite user experience. While the first use case focuses on knowledge retrieval, the assistant will quickly expand its skills to include:

Account and data loading
The assistant will help transform and load spreadsheet data into new or existing accounts.
Data queries
You will be able to ask questions such as What are my total Scope 1 emissions from last year for my operations in North America?
Guided audit
The assistant will help auditors and administrators validate emissions data by explaining calculations, tracing inputs, showing configuration details, and surfacing audit logs.
Report generator
The assistant will provide direct access to the reports that you commonly use.
Custom dataset builder
The assistant will generate custom CSV extract datasets based on user prompts.
