ENERGY STAR prerequisites
Review the prerequisites for integrating IBM® Envizi ESG Suite with Energy Star.
Authorizing Envizi ESG Suite to connect to ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
An Envizi ESG Suitesystem administrator must configure a connection between the Envizi ESG Suite account in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and your account in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account. Then, the Envizi ESG Suite system administrator grants web service read and write access rights between the two accounts in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
Entity ID mapping in Envizi ESG Suite for existing properties
- For existing properties, an Envizi ESG Suite implementation team must create entity mappings.
- For new properties, Envizi ESG Suite automatically creates the entity ID mappings during the first API data upload.
- The ENERGY STAR
Portfolio Manager
Property
entity maps to the Envizi ESG SuiteLocation
entity. - The ENERGY STAR
Portfolio Manager
Meter
entity maps to the Envizi ESG SuiteAccount
orMeter
entity.
A grid in the Energy Star and Envizi ID Mapping page lists all entity ID mappings between Envizi ESG Suite and the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager platform.
In the grid, the Alias column shows the corresponding ENERGY STAR ID for a meter or property that is mapped to one of the Envizi ESG Suite entity items, for example, a location, an account or a meter. Use the ENERGY STAR ID value in the Alias column to identify and select the row that corresponds to your intended meter or property in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. A record that has a blank Item column indicates the mapping is for an Envizi ESG Suite location to an ENERGY STAR property ID.
If the corresponding entity item such as a meter is deleted in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, you must delete the corresponding ID mapping record in the ENERGY STAR and Envizi ID Mapping page to avoid API data sync errors.
If all location ID mapping rows with a blank Item column for a property are deleted and no other location ID mappings remain, another ENERGY STAR property will be created in the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager platform the next time when a full data sync or partial data sync is initiated.
