Provisioning an Amazon SFTP transfer

You can provision an Amazon SFTP data service to load data into the platform or to export data from the platform by using SFTP.

About this task

Note:

• You must create an associated data pipeline to process the files that use the Amazon SFTP data service.
• SFTP folders can be used for either file loading or data export, but not both. You specify the data service type in the category field. You cannot modify the category once the data service is created.

1. As a system administrator, from the main menu, click Admin > Data Flow Automation to open the Data Services grid.
2. Click Add New Service.
3. Select either File Loading or Data export as the category.
4. Select Amazon Transfer (SFTP) as the data service type.
5. Set the owner to Envizi.
6. Assign a name to the data service.
7. Optional: Select an existing data pipeline to link to the data service.
8. Click Save.

Results

The data service is created and enabled. To use the data service, you must set the credentials from the Manage Connections page.
