Calculation accuracy is a valuable metric that assesses the reliability and precision of data collection methods that are associated with each account style. The analysis uses a rating system ranging from 1 to 5, where a score of 1 represents the highest level of accuracy (excellent), and a score of 5 indicates the lowest level of accuracy (poor). These scores are then weighted based on the emissions that are generated by the corresponding accounts, which ensure that larger contributors have a greater impact on the overall calculation accuracy.

Use the dashboard to monitor and analyze the calculation accuracy of your data, to view historical trends, and to make informed decisions to enhance the accuracy and reliability of your emissions reporting.

The Calculation Accuracy Analysis dashboard has these sections.
Calculation Accuracy by Category
Provides insights into the calculation accuracy of each scope 3 category. If a specific category is associated with an account style, the accuracy rating for that category is displayed. You can evaluate the accuracy of the data collection methods that are used for a specific scope 3 categories or identify account styles that are not yet categorized. The accuracy data relates to the reporting period that is selected on the cover page.
Historical Data View
Presents a historical view of calculation accuracy over extended periods of time.
Calculation Accuracy for Reporting Period
Displays an overview of the overall calculation accuracy ratings across all of your accounts. The data is represented as a percentage of the total, which provides a comprehensive summary of the accuracy levels of your accounts. You can evaluate the overall data reliability and identify areas that require attention or improvement. The accuracy data relates to the reporting period that you selected on the cover page.
