You can use the IBM® Envizi ESG Suite Target setting and tracking module to capture and track sustainability performance targets at any level of your organization. Review the reference information for details about the target data Excel template.

Target data Excel template

The target data Excel template that you use to create and update target data contains the following columns:

Action: The Action column is included only in the setup target data template for updating target data. Enter the value Update in any row whose target value you want to change.
Associate: The name of the organization.
Target Name: The name of the selected target.
Description: The description of the selected target, if used.
Target Type: The type of target being configured.
Target Link: An internal identifier used by the connector.
Item Type: Indicates what kind of entity the target value is being set against (for example, location, account, meter, and so on).
Item: The specific name or number of the entity the target value is being set against.
Item Reference: For location this is the location reference. For accounts, it is the account reference.
Item Open Date: If the entity, for example, location or account, has an open date set it is displayed in this column.
Item Close Date: If the entity, for example, location or account, has a close date set it is displayed in this column. If set, you should not configure target data past the close date.
Item Link: An internal identifier used by the connector
Set Against: For most targets, this indicated that the values are set against individual data types. Other options will be discussed in the specific use cases.
Measuring: Will indicate if target values are to be set in native units or alternatively in a specific normalized value, for example, energy, emissions, and so on.
Data Type: The data type the target value is being set against.
Source Link: An internal identifier used by the connector.
Start Period: The start period, which is the beginning of a month, for the target value being set.
End Period: The end period, which is the end of the month, for the target value being set.
Target Value: Where you should enter or update the desired target value for the period indicated in the row.
Units: If available, this indicates the units in which the target value is being captured.
Target Instance Link: The Target Instance Link column is included only in the setup target data template for updating target data. The value is an internal identifier used by the connector.
