Portfolio Manager home page

A portfolio manager is a user of IBM® ESG Suite for whom the enterprise view of the platform is not appropriate.

For example, a portfolio manager user might be a property manager. A property manager is typically someone who is interested in a subset of locations and in a subset of platform features and who logs in to perform specific tasks and to view specific data or reports for a specified part of the enterprise organization.

When a portfolio manager user logs in, the user sees a different top-level navigation options and different home page gadgets to general users.

Quick links provide access to key entities that the portfolio manager is likely to be interested in, such as reports and grids.

The My To Do List displays issues and program actions that are assigned to the portfolio manager or that are related to the group that the portfolio manager manages. The cards that are visible depend on the configuration of the organization, but might include the following:
  • Data Health issues: Includes issues of types data anomaly and data capture that are of status To do or In Progress. The IDs are pre-fixed with DA or DATA.
  • Interval meter alerts: These are issues of type Building Energy Performance. The IDs are prefixed with BEPA and the issues are in status To Do or In Progress.
  • Survey issues: These are survey data collection issues, are prefixed with SURV, and the issues are in status To Do or In Progress.
  • Program issues: These are program actions which are due or overdue. That is the action Planned Finish Date is within 30 days or has passed and an Action Status Grouping has a status of To Do or In Progress.

Depending on how your organization has been configured, a portfolio manager may see quick links to PowerReports on their home page. Clicking a PowerReport quick link opens that PowerReport in a new tab.

Depending on how your organization has been configured, a portfolio manager may see quick links to Reports on their home page. Clicking on the quick link will open the Report selection pop up.

A quick link to upload data files is displayed. A portfolio manager should receive training from a system administrator about uploading data files as the format of the files need to comply with a specified template.

A frequently visited section provides quick links to groups, locations, accounts and meters, if applicable to your organization, that you have frequently visited.

An information gadget might be displayed which includes hyperlinks to external websites, if the links are configured by your organization.

Viewing issues

As a portfolio manager, click on View to open an Issues Board that displays only the issues relevant to the card and view option you selected. The board has the option for the user to toggle between Assigned to Me and All Issues.

You can also toggle to a list view of issues. You can select multiple issues on the board and sort and export issues.
