Meter components
Meter components serve a similar purpose to account styles. The component defines the data type and the primary consumption units of measure for meters, for example, electricity (kWh), natural gas (GJ), and so on. The component also identifies the connector that is used for processing and loading data.
Universal Interval Consumption Meter Connector components
In the Create New meter dialog, select one of the SBS
components to load data by using the Universal Interval Consumption Meter Connector.
Universal Accumulative Reading Meter Connector components
In the Create New meter dialog, select one of the Accumulation
Meter components to load data by using the Universal Accumulative Reading Meter
Connector.
Other components are available for regional connectors such as the NEM12 connector and the Stark connector, but for most applications a component matching a universal connector should be selected.
