Temporary groups

In some reports, when you run reports, you specify locations in the report definition. When you select multiple locations, a group that is called Temporary Group is created and is used to generate the report.

You might notice a temporary group in the report output. The inclusion of this column is by design and represents the locations that you selected. The naming convention for the temporary group is TG-Contact Id-YYYYMMDD_HH-MM-SS.

The timestamp in the name is the local time of the user who created the temporary group or when the report was run, for example, TG-12048_20200810_11-19-03. Every time the report runs and multiple locations are selected, a temporary group is created.

If you select the same set of locations frequently, you can create a personal group or your system administrator can create a permanent portfolio group for the organization that all users of the report can select.
