Deleting data files

A system administrator can delete data files for an account after the data loads.

About this task

You can delete only account data files. You cannot delete files that are already deleted or while files are being deleted, or configuration files that were uploaded with group and location data.

Similarly to loading files, deletion of a file is sometimes time-consuming and is processed as a system job. The file status goes from Deletion in progress to Deleted.

You can use the file history to verify that the file is deleted. If errors occur when the file is being deleted, the file status reverts to its original status. Errors are available from the preview panel for troubleshooting.

Restriction: You cannot delete files uploaded in the AI Assist Files Processing page.

Procedure

  1. As a system administrator, from the main menu, click Manage > Files Processed - Accounts & Setup.
  2. Click Actions > Delete Loaded File - Records in Accounts.
  3. Select the file and click Delete.
