Creating a custom factor

You can create a custom factor from scratch or from a copy of an existing factor.

Before you begin

  • Your organization must have one or more custom factors sets configured for use. Contact IBM Envizi support to create a factor set. For more information, see Contacting IBM Support.
  • You must be logged into the platform as a system administrator.

Procedure

  • Create a factor from a copy.
    1. From the main menu, click Admin > Custom Factors.
    2. In the Custom Factors grid, select a factor, click Actions, and select Create a copy of this Factor.
      The fields are populated with the values of the original factor, apart from Region.
    3. Update the fields of the factor, including region, factor set, name, factor values, and effective dates.
      If all of the fields in the factor are the same as another factor in the custom factor data set, the effective or published dates must not conflict with the other factor.
    4. Click Save.
  • Create a factor from scratch
    1. In the Custom Factors grid, select a factor, click Actions, and select Create New.
    2. Set the factor values, including region, factor set, name, factor values, and effective dates.

    3. Click Save.
