Getting started for Excel users

To start calculating emissions with the IBM® Emissions Calculations in Excel, sign up for access to the trial, open the overview page, and follow the set up instructions.

Before you begin

If you previously signed up for the preview and want to continue using Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel, or if you are a new user, you must sign up for the trial. Open the Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel sign-up form and complete the required fields. After you submit the form, a new page opens where you can finish setting up by watching a video or by following the step-by-step instructions.

About this task

Note: Preview users who want to use the updated template must log out and then log back in to access the new Excel template.

To use the add-in, you must have an internet connection and Microsoft Excel 2019 or later. You can install the Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel add-in directly from Microsoft Marketplace. For more information, see Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel. If you want to install the add-in at an enterprise level, you can use a manifest.xml file. For more information, see Installing the Excel add-in by using a manifest file.

The template for Envizi™ Emissions Calculations in Excel is provided with all features enabled. If you're using your own template, you can download the Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel template to explore how all the functions and features work. You can also optionally add the column headers from the template to your own template. You can then follow the function exactly as written, and column headers, such as CO2e and CH4, match the calculated results.

Procedure

  1. Sign up for the trial at Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel sign-up form and complete the fields.
  2. On the Excel add-in overview page, browse the resources to learn more about Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel.
  3. To get set up and start calculating emissions, watch the video or follow the written steps.
  4. If you previously signed up for the preview, you must log out and log back in to see the new Excel template.
