Monthly dataset - basic fields

You can build custom PowerReports by using the predefined fields of the monthly dataset.

The following sections describe the basic fields that are available in the monthly data set. For information about user-defined fields such as data type groups, intensity ratios and social metrics, see Monthly dataset - Dynamic fields. For information about advanced fields that are related to specific modules, see Monthly dataset - advanced fields.

Note:
Variance fields
  • All previous year (PY) fields are defined as the current date minus 12 months.
  • All previous month (PM) fields are defined as the current date minus 1 month.
  • To specify the month end of your baseline year, click Admin > Organization Preferences > Reporting and Dashboard Preferences.
  • If you are reporting a yearly value against a baseline year, ensure that the year ends align, for example, align to the financial year (FY) or the calendar year end for the baseline year end.
  • A system administrator can change the global reporting unit for emissions, energy, mass, or volume by clicking Admin > Organization Preferences > Reporting and Dashboard Preferences.
Breakdown fields
  • Actual and estimated values are determined by a flag that is set at the record level of every account item.
  • Accrued values are automatically calculated based on the accrual settings that are configured for you accounts. For more information, see Configuring accruals.
