Reporting electricity demand
Reporting electricity demand from interval meter data is an insightful and valuable metric for energy managers and engineers. Knowing your demand can help you with capacity planning, and also help reduce your energy costs by lowering your network costs and demand charges.
About this task
Reporting demand in kW and kVA through the bulk extract report is flexible. When running the bulk
extract report, system administrators can configure how maximum demand is calculated. Options include:
- Average of Native
- The average demand over a given reporting period.
- Max of Native
- The maximum demand over a given reporting period.
- Max of 30min average
- Demand is first averaged across a rolling 30 minute window, then reported as the maximum 30 minute average over a given reporting period.
- Max of 1 hour average
- Demand is first averaged across a rolling 1 hour window, then reported as the maximum 1 hour average over a given reporting period.
- Average of 30min average
- Demand is first averaged across a rolling 30 minuter window, then reported as the average 30 minute average over a given reporting period.
- Average of 1 hour average
- Demand is first averaged across a rolling 1 hour window, then reported as the average 1 hour average over a given reporting period.
Procedure
- In the IBM® Envizi ESG Suite user interface, click .
- Locate the Demand Aggregation setting, and select
Yes. The Demand Aggregation Mode setting becomes visible.
- Select the Demand Aggregation mode, and click
Save. After the setting has been saved, the bulk interval data extract report shows demand based on the applied setting when reporting electricity.
I cannot see the Demand Aggregation setting in the UI.
