Performance by data type
Monitor the performance of your organization, group, or location by ranking and proportioning your data into data type views over a selected period.
Procedure
- Open the Performance dashboard:
- For an organization, from the main menu, click Monitor, and select Performance by Data Type.
- For a location, select the group or location in the organization hierarchy. From the main menu, click Track, and select Performance by Data Type.
- Select a comparison period for the summary chart.
- Select a unit of measure in the View as drop down list, for example, Energy (GJ). Only data types that are associated with the unit of measure are included on the dashboard.
- Select the time range of the dashboard. Data is aggregated by month.
- Review the summary information, which includes the total activity data across all data types, the value for the period, and the variance.
- Review the Activity By Data Type chart. This chart ranks your data aggregated by data types by using the unit of measure selected. Only data types relevant to the unit of measure that is selected in the View As list are included. For example, if Energy(GJ) is selected, then water data types are not included.
The top 10 data types are displayed. Click on a chart to change the sort order of a chart and the maximum number of data types to display.
Note:The data type names always include the primary measure (native reporting unit) of that data type, for example,
Diesel Stationary L
. Beside the data type name the unit of measure that you have selected is displayed. This means that you are converting L (litres) to GJ for the purpose of being able to aggregate and rank data types of different primary measures by using a common measure. - Review the Activity By Period by Data Type chart. This chart aggregates your activity data by data type for the period you selected. Each bar represents a data type. If there are more than 10 data types found, then 9 are shown and the remaining data types are aggregated into an Other segment.
- Review the Activity By Category chart. A maximum of 10 segments are shown. If there are more than 10 segments are found, then 9 are shown and the remaining data types are aggregated into an Other segment.
- Click Filters to narrow the data set of all charts on the report.
- Click Actions to save your view, schedule the dashboard, and to email the dashboard.
- Click on a chart to view the chart data in a grid view and to export the view to a file.
