Setting up notification contacts in bulk
You can set up notification contacts in bulk by using a template.
About this task
The file that uploads to the platform must start with Setup_Notification_Contacts and have the file extension .xls, .xlsx, or .csv.
Note:
- Surveys (SURV), Survey Portal Surveys (VC) and Data Capture (DATA) issue types only support assignees. If rows contain Watcher for those issue types, they are converted to Assignee.
- Surveys (SURV), Survey Portal Surveys (VC) and Data Capture (DATA) issue types only use the Standard priority. If rows contains other priorities for those issue types, they are converted to Standard.
Procedure
- In global search, select Reports from the list and enter Setup Notification Contacts.
- Select the report in the Reports grid, click Actions, and select Run Report.
- Configure the report settings. Select which groups and locations to run the report for and click Submit.
- Download the file in CSV format.
- Remove the rows that you do not want to change and add new rows, as required.
- Upload the file. From the main menu, click .
- Click Upload browse to find the file and then click Upload file.
If parse or load errors occur, the rows with errors in the file are skipped and
processing continues for valid rows. For more information about troubleshooting setup files, see
