GRESB Reporting Characteristics section

Use IBM® Envizi ESG Suite to collect Reporting Characteristics (RC) data and prepare it for submission to GRESB. The Reporting Characteristics section aligns with the Reporting Characteristics page in the GRESB Real Estate Asset spreadsheet.

Similar to Asset Characteristics, all fields in Reporting Characteristics can be captured as a location setting (RC), including maximum floor areas for energy and water reporting. However, some fields can be retrieved from within Envizi if previously captured.

The Reporting Characteristics section includes annual data, where a reporting season requires data for the two previous years up to the current date. Each year before the reporting season, Envizi adjusts the fields on the page by retaining only the previous year's fields and adding new fields for the current year. Fields that belong to the last year in the previous reporting season, for example, three years before the current year, are removed.

To view a location’s final Reporting Characteristics values, in the Location Summary page, click GRESB > GRESB Asset Summary (with API). You can filter the Section column to display only Reporting Characteristics values, and review the values before submitting them to GRESB by API.

The following table shows how GRESB Reporting Characteristics values map to Envizi Reporting Characteristics values.
