Errors in Excel

When you use IBM® Emissions Calculations in Excel, some errors can come from Excel rather than from Envizi ESG Suite.

Problem

One or more calculations in the Envizi Emissions Calculations in Excel add‑in do not run as expected. A blue indicator is displayed in the add‑in, but no detailed error message is shown inline.

Cause

The issue is from Excel, such as an invalid formula, cell reference issue, or sheet‑level calculation problem. These errors generated by Excel are not validated or interpreted by Envizi ESG Suite.

Solution

If a cell shows a blue indicator:

  1. Hover over the blue indicator to see the error message in the tooltip.
  2. Resolve the issue by reviewing your Excel data, functions, and cell references.
  3. After you fix the issue, rerun the calculation.
