March 2025: Validation for query parameters
An important update will occur in the weather API services that will impact the behavior of the units and language query parameters in certain weather API calls. These query parameters will require a valid value to successfully call the impacted weather APIs.
Upcoming changes
- If units= is provided as a query parameter but has an empty value, the API will return a 400-error code with an error message indicating that units are missing a valid value.
- If language= is provided as a query parameter but has an empty value, the API will return a 400-error code with an error message indicating that language is missing a valid value.
These changes will improve data consistency and ensure accurate API responses across the weather API services.
Action required
Review your integrations and update any requests to ensure that valid values are provided for both the units and language query parameters where required. This adjustment will prevent disruptions to your services when the change goes live.
