Software Updates - Access and requirements
With the Software Updates application you can order entitled software updates for IBM i and AIX systems. The entitled software updates are granted at no charge.
Access
- You need to be registered for one or more customer numbers. You can use the Register Customer Number application.
- You need authorization Update information that is associated to your customer numbers.
- You can view and remove customer numbers and see authorizations available for your profile in the View My Authorizations application.
Requirements
- A current IBM Software Maintenance Agreement (SWMA) or Software Subscription contract that is associated with the customer numbers that are registered under your profile is required.
- You can verify the SWMA records in Inventory Explorer application, under the Software maintenance tab > Active or Shipped or Expired or Inactive subtab. If you feel the IBM records are incorrect, contact your IBM sales representative.
