View information authorization

View information authorization is a basic authorization that allows you to view and list information across most applications in ESS. Internal users, Business Partners, and End users can have this authorization.

Applications like Inventory Explorer, Base Composer, Power Enterprise Pools, or Data Reports require that you have your Customer Number registered in your profile with the "View information" authorization to access information on that customer number.

The following list of actions describes what you can perform with "View information" authorization:

Search inventory (Inventory Explorer and Base Composer)

You need to have the Customer Number registered on your profile in order to view details in the Inventory Explorer and Base Composer applications.
