Transfer inventory authorization

In order to perform activities in the Inventory Migration application you need to have the Customer Number registered on your profile.

You need to be registered for one or more customer numbers. You can use the Register Customer Number application.
You need authorization "Transfer inventory" to be associated to your customer numbers.
You can view and remove customer numbers and see authorizations available for your profile in the View My Authorizations application.

With "Transfer inventory" authorization you can perform activities in the Inventory Migration application. You can transfer software entitlements or migrate hardware activations.

You can transfer software entitlements for Power software running on IBM i, AIX, and Linux.
You can migrate hardware core and memory activations for mobile and base capacity if the machines are in the same pool and are meeting the requirements.
