Authorizations required on ESS
In order to perform activities on ESS you need to be granted proper authorization. Authorizations required per application are listed below:

✔✔ In Power Enterprise Pools you need "Update information" authorization in order to generate a pool or purchase capacity credits for the prepaid billing method. When converting a pool from prepaid to paygo, "View information" authorization is enough for Business Partners and Distributors to perform the action. IBM employees and End Customers need "Update information" authorization to convert form a prepaid to paygo type of usage.
✔✔ In Virtual Serial Numbers you need "Update information" authorization in order to generate new Virtual Serial Numbers.
✔✔ In Elastic Capacity on Demand you need "Update information" authorization in order to purchase capacity.
Customer Number and authorizations
- You need to be registered for one or more customer numbers in the Register Customer Number application.
- You need the right authorization to be associated to your customer numbers.
- You can view and remove customer numbers and see authorizations available for your profile in the View My Authorizations application.
