Changing plan configuration settings for a project

You can manage plan data, including setting project working hours and days and computing progress of release plans in the Project Area editor.

Setting project hours and days per week
You can use Work Environment configuration in the Project Area editor to specify the hours per day, quitting time, and days per week for a project. These settings are used to determine work durations in iteration planning and work item interfaces.
Computing progress of release plans
You must check the progress of a release plan to ensure its on-time completion. You can compute the progress of a release plan by selecting any work item attributes or enumerations that can be transformed to a number.
Showing time remaining or time spent
Plans show the progress that team members have made in completing their work items. You can configure a project area so that the plans show either the time remaining to complete work items or the time spent so far on work items.
Configuring attributes in customized work items to display in a plan
When you customize work items by adding attributes, you must configure the attributes to display in the plan.
Permitting users to modify allocation
If you use the Formal Project Management process template, by default you cannot add or modify allocation periods from the Resources tab or from the Work Environment tab of your profile page. However, if you are part of JazzAdmins repository group or you are the administrator of the project area, you can add or modify allocation periods of all users. If you do not have those permissions, you can add or modify allocation periods by changing a setting in the project area editor.
