Filtering for Engineering Workflow Management source control events

To monitor what your team is doing, you can configure a feed in the Team Dashboard view so that Engineering Workflow Management source control events are displayed in the Events section.

About this task

You can filter the Engineering Workflow Management event stream for three categories of Engineering Workflow Management source control events:
  • Source Control Changes events include the delivery of change sets and baselines to your team streams.
  • Source Control Streams events include stream additions, deletions, and modifications.
  • Source Control Components events include component additions, removals, and replacements.
You can click any event to see more information about it.
Note: Engineering Workflow Management source control change events expire after 26 weeks, with the exception of change set delivery and baseline delivery events, which expire after 2 weeks. The properties ChangeEvent Default Expiration, ChangeEvent Expiration by Category, and ChangeEvent Expiration by Item Type do not apply to SCM change events.

Procedure

  1. In the Team Dashboard view, in the upper right corner of the Events section, click the Menu icon; then click Configure.
  2. In the Configuration of Events window, in the left pane, click Filters.
  3. In the Filters pane, under Show, select from the list of event types: Source Control Changes, Source Control Streams, Source Control Components. Click OK.
  4. Optional: Alternatively, you can create an Events section and configure it to show only Engineering Workflow Management source control events.
    1. In the Team Dashboard view, in the upper right corner, click the View Menu icon; then click New Section > Events.
    2. In the upper right corner of the Events section, click the Menu icon; then click Configure.
    3. In the Configuration of Events window, in the left pane, click Feeds. In the Feeds pane, select My Teams in project-area-name.
    4. In the left pane, click Filters.
    5. In the Filters pane, under Show, select from the list of event types: Source Control Changes, Source Control Streams, or Source Control Components.
    6. Clear all other entries under Show. Click OK.
