Stopping the synchronization engine process

You might have to stop the synchronization engine process for various reasons such as performing maintenance or changing the synchronization host.

About this task

You cannot use the graphic interface to stop the synchronization engine process. The method that you use to stop the synchronization engine process depends on the platform that it runs on.

To stop the synchronization engine process, perform one of the following actions:

• On a Windows system, close the window that the process is running in or use Task Manager to find the java.exe process and end it.
• On a Linux system, open a command prompt and run the ccc stop syncEngine command.
