Comparing build states

You can compare any two states of a build definition or a build engine to view differences in the user-defined build properties.

1. In the Team Artifacts view, expand the project folder.
2. Expand the Builds folder and locate the build definition or the build engine.
3. Right-click the build definition or the build engine; then click Show History.
   The History view displays a list of historical states of the build definition or a build engine.
4. In the History view, select any two states and right-click; then click Compare properties. The Compare Editor opens and highlights the differences in the properties of the two selected states.
