Searching for repository artifacts

You can use the web client to search for streams, repository workspaces, components, baselines, snapshots, change sets, locks, or files by using the advanced search.

Procedure

  1. In the web client, click Source Control > Advanced search. You can search for any supported type of artifact with detailed search criteria.
  2. Select a type of artifact you want to search for.
  3. Specify a name or any other search criteria available. For many of the search criteria, you can start typing and then select a value from the list that populates.
  4. Click Search.
  5. From the search result, select the appropriate search result. If you are searching for locks, and the number of locks that are returned from a search is more than 25, the results are split into multiple pages. You can use the Next and Previous links to navigate to the next or previous pages.
    Note: To use the Quick Search field to search for repository artifacts, in the upper-right, click the Quick Search icon. Under Source Control, select an artifact. In the Quick Search field, type the artifact name.
  6. The search results page displays files as hyperlinks so that you can click the links to see the file content, history, and links:
