Troubleshooting the Engineering Workflow Management ISPF client

This information helps you troubleshoot errors when you are using the Engineering Workflow Management Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) client.

The following list describes actions that you might take to troubleshoot errors that occur while you are using the ISPF client:
  • When an error message appears in the upper right corner of the ISPF client, press F1 to receive details about the error that is displayed on the screen.
  • When the ISPF client encounters an exception, the full stack trace is added to a log file in the _ISPF_REGISTRY_DIR/TSO-ID directory. The _ISPF_REGISTRY_DIR directory is specified in the ISPF daemon configuration file (ispfdmn.conf). The contents of the directory can provide help in troubleshooting problems.
  • When the ISPF daemon encounters a file system error, the details of the failure are written to the daemon log. The location of this log is specified on the _ISPF_DAEMON_LOG parameter in the ISPF daemon configuration file (ispfdmn.conf).
