Enabling the HFS build feature

The last step in configuring Enterprise Extensions for the HFS build feature is to enable the feature in the Dependency Build definition and specify the directory for HFS build outputs.

1. Create or update a Dependency Build definition. See Creating a dependency build definition for information on creating a build definition and Specifying z/OS Dependency Build settings for information on individual build definition settings.
2. In the z/OS Dependency Build tab of the build definition editor, enable the HFS build feature by selecting the Enable HFS builds checkbox and specifying the HFS outputs directory path.

Results

The dependency build will automatically invoke the user-supplied Ant build script whenever something changes in the HFS source files.
