Enforcing machine reservations for lab resources in Engineering Test Management

You can enforce lab resource reservations; for example, you might want to control the reservations for a high-value test machine. You can also allow tests to be queued on a test machine that is reserved by another user. When the machine becomes reserved for the user who is running the test, the queued test is run automatically.

1. In the banner, click the Administration () icon, and then click Manage Project Properties.
2. Click Execution Preferences.
3. Select the Enforce lab resource reservation check box.
4. By default, tests cannot be queued on a machine that is currently reserved for another user. To enable extended scheduling of a test machine, click Allow test to be queued on a machine and automatically start running the test when the machine is reserved for the current user .
5. Click Save.
