Running execution records in execution schedules without precondition checks

You can configure the application to ignore preconditions for execution records that run in an execution schedule.

1. Create a new or configure an existing Execute Test Case or Execute Test Suite action with a specialized role, such as Data Migration Administrator, and with no preconditions. For details, see Defining a precondition to select test data records before executing test cases.
2. Assign a designated user with the specialized role. Ensure that the role has permissions to execute test cases or that the designated user has additional roles that can execute test cases. For details, see Assigning roles to a member.
3. Set the Scheduled Execution Sequence Scanner Task User Id property.
   1. In the Quality Management application, click Administration; then click Manage Application.
   2. On the Application Administration – Engineering Test Management page, in one the panes, click Advanced Properties.
   3. Go to the Sequencer Component and click Edit.
   4. In the Scheduled Execution Sequence Scanner Task User Id property, type the designated user Id in the Current Value field.
   5. Click Save.

Results

The designated user's specialized role does not have any preconditions for execution, so the execution records run without any precondition checks.
