Recalculating the weight distribution of test suite execution results

You can recalculate the weight distribution of a test suite execution result to reflect changes to the weight distribution of the test case execution results created during test suite execution.

About this task

When you run a test suite, the test suite execution result is assigned the same weight distribution as the test case execution results. If you modify the weight distribution of an individual test case execution result that was part of the test suite execution, you can recalculate the weight distribution of the test suite execution result to reflect the change.

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following things:
    1. Run a test suite and click Show result after the execution completes.
    2. Click Execution > Browse > Test Suite Results and click on a previous test suite execution result.
    The Execution Result page opens.
  2. Click the Calculate weight (Calculate weight) icon.
    The weight distribution is updated to reflect the changes that were made to the test case execution results. Also note that the total weight of the test suite result is updated to reflect the combined weights of the test cases in the suite.
  3. Click Save.

You can set the Update Test Suite Result points and verdict when Test Case Result is modified execution preference to automatically update the test suite result when a test case execution result is modified.
