Submitting defects from HCL AppScan Tester Edition to Engineering Test Management

You can submit defects to Engineering Test Management directly from a report in HCL Security AppScan Tester Edition. Defects contain information about security issues, such as advisories and fix recommendations, so that developers can fix the problems before they get into production.

To submit an issue from a report as a defect to Engineering Test Management:

1. Go to the report that contains the issues you want to submit as defects.
2. Select the check box of the issue or issues.
3. Select Submit Engineering Test Management Defect from the list and click Apply. A Work Item column appears in the report display.
4. Click the Defects icon () to open the defect in Engineering Test Management so that you can prioritize and track it.
   Note: You can also open defects directly in Engineering Test Management.
