Installing STAF on test machines

After you install Software Testing Automation Framework (STAF) and Software Testing Automation Framework Execution Engine (STAX) on the server, you must install STAF on the machines you use to run tests.

Procedure

  1. Download and install the latest STAF v3.3.x release from STAF documentation
  2. Configure trust levels. The trust level of the test machines must be set with trust level 5 for the IBM® Engineering Test Management , and the trust level for the STAX server (when using external STAX server deployment) must be set with trust level 5. Add the following lines to the STAF.cfg file in the STAF/bin folder on each test machine: 
    • trust machine myetmserver.ibm.com level 5
    • trust machine mystaxserver.ibm.com level 5
