Viewing pending work

You can use the execution status reports to help you to see work that needs to be done. Use these reports to get an up-to-the-minute view for completed and incomplete work.

The Execution Status using Weight report can show you which test plans have high numbers of failed or unstarted points. This might indicate pending work or problem areas in the product being tested. Similarly, the Execution Status using TCER Count report can demonstrate which test plans have high numbers of failed or not run test case execution records (TCERs). You can view a list of the test case execution records in a particular state by clicking that segment of the bar.

TCER Listing

Use this report to list test case execution records. From the results, you can link to the test case, test environment, and result history associated with a specific test case execution record. You can filter by test plan, test iteration, or user to quickly see what work is left in each category. High numbers of failed TCERs might indicate trouble areas in the product being tested. Also, look for high numbers of TCERs without owners, as this might indicate that testing work still needs to be distributed across your team.
