Determining the quality of testing

You can determine software quality by evaluating defects discovered during testing and by seeing an overview of execution results. Use the Execution Status using Weight, and Execution Status using TCER Count reports to see the execution status and identify where defects are occurring.

Execution Status using Weight (Live) and Execution Status using TCER Count (Live)

The reports answer the question, “Which test plans have high numbers of failed points or test case execution records (TCERs)?” Many failures against a particular test plan might indicate instability in a certain area of the product under test. Both of these reports show a quick visual representation of the test execution results, with bars representing points or status categories.

You can click any bar in the chart or items in the table to display a list of the corresponding TCERs for further investigation or diagnosis.
