You can copy the project properties from an existing project area to another project area
on the same or different IBM® Engineering Test Management server by using the Copy Project Properties
utility.
Procedure
-
On the Engineering Test Management server, go to the
..\tools\CopyProjectProperties folder in the location where Engineering Test Management is installed, for example, C:\Program
Files\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\conf\qm\tools\CopyProjectProperties. For more
information, see Managing project properties in a Engineering Test Management project.
-
Extract all the files from the CopyProjectPropertiesUtility.zip
file.
-
Before you copy the project properties, read the
CopyProjectPropertiesUtility_readme.txt file.
Note:
- Lab resources, channel properties, test plan environment types, team areas, timelines, and
project execution variables do not support copying properties.
- In the source project area, when you delete project properties that contain user-defined test
artifacts, such as categories and custom attributes, the properties and test artifacts are copied
but the test artifacts are deleted in the destination project area. That is, the deleted test
artifacts can be restored from the Trash page. However, permanently deleted test artifacts are not
copied and cannot be restored.
