Duplicating execution records to another iteration

You can copy a selected list of test cases or test suite execution records in a test plan to another iteration in that test plan or a different test plan that you select. For example, you might want to duplicate execution records that were deferred, inconclusive, failed or blocked in the current iteration.

Before you begin

Be aware of the following requirements:

  • The selected test plan and its project area must be set up to use iterations. This means that the test plan must include a test schedule section that associates iterations with the test plan.
  • Test cases and test suites that are parents of the execution records must be associated with the selected test plan.
  • All test case or test suite execution records that you want to copy to the next iteration must be associated with the same test plan.
