Launcher
The Launcher is a stand-alone application that is used to create document specifications and generate output document-style report from these specifications. The Launcher can also run from a command-line utility to generate a set of document-style reports. You can choose manual or wizard-driven document-style report generation, as you are most comfortable. The Launcher is also accessible from Document Studio; when used from Document Studio, you can automatically synchronize the document specification with the current template.
- From either the Launcher or Document Studio
application, click the
Open Perspective icon. - Select the perspective to add.
- Click OK. Both the Document Studio and Launcher are accessible as tabs from your toolbar:


1 . Document Specification
Associates concrete data source with the document template and defines the output types.
2 . Properties view
Displays the properties of the selected element and enables you to edit it. However, some properties, such as query path, are read-only properties.
3 . Console view
Displays the document-style report generation status.
4 . Problems view
Displays a detailed list of issues from the document-style report generation.
