Adding a predefined data source schema

You can add your own predefined data source schema to the Add Data Source Schema wizard so that you can quickly add your own data source.

The Add Data Source Schema wizard has a drop-down list where you can pick one of many predefined data sources. To add your own predefined data source to this list, edit the RPEPredefinedDataSources.xml file in the PUB_install_dir directory, for example:
  • Windows icon: C:\Program Files\IBM\PUB
  • Linux icon: /opt/IBM/PUB
Each predefined data source must contain the following elements:
Element Value
name The name of the data source. This element cannot be empty.
description Description of the data source.
location The path of the schema. You can use system variables in the value, for example: ${SYSTEM_VARIABLE}
type The type must be one of the following values
  • Generic XML
  • REST
  • REST v2
  • DOORS®
  • DOORS Structure
