Verifying a data source schema

When data does not appear as you expect in your output, verify that the data source schema is accessible.

Procedure

Copy the data source schema URL into a web browser to verify whether the data source returns the results to the browser.
  • If the browser yields results, the issue could be with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing.
    • Verify that the data source URL did not get corrupted by encoding when you copied it into Engineering Publishing.
    • Verify that the data services adapters are configured correctly, if your data source requires them.
    • If you are using the configuration layer, verify that the Identifier and Display values are correct.
  • If the browser does not yield results, the issue is probably not with PUB.
    • Verify that the data source is running.
    • Verify that you have Internet or intranet access, if necessary.
    • Verify that the URL has the correct expressions to access data from your data source.
