Adding a page break element

You can use page break elements to start a new page in the output document-style report at a designated point in the content.

1. Add a page break element to the template content editor by one of the following methods:
   • In the Palette view, select a Page break element and drag it into the template content editor.
   • In the editor area, right-click and select Insert > Page break.
   • In the Outline view, right-click Content and select Insert > Page break.
2. Click File > Save As or click the Save icon.

Results

When you generate the output, a page break is created and, in Microsoft Word output, a horizontal line is inserted after it. The horizontal line after the page break is necessary in the output, otherwise any style that is applied to a paragraph after the page break would also be applied to the last paragraph before the page break. This is an expected behavior of Microsoft Word.
