  • PUB licenses are floating or token-based. Nodelocked licenses cannot be used.
  • Temporary licenses are available for evaluation purposes, but they can't be used with permanent user-based or floating licenses.

Installing the Publishing Document Builder

When you install Engineering Publishing, you have the option of installing Publishing Document Builder . See Installing Publishing Document Builder on a server for your organization.

Deploying Publishing Document Builder

With the Publishing Document Builder, everyday users can easily produce document-style reports using pre-configured reports, with no coding knowledge or additional configuration required.

Installing PUB clients for end users

To design templates and create document specifications, users must have the Document Studio and Launcher applications installed on their computers. After installation is complete, users can connect to data sources to begin designing document-style reports for their organization. See Installing Engineering Publishing desktop clients.

Installing the add-in

Add-ins are available for IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS® integrations. These add-ins enable you to start publishing processes directly from Engineering Requirements Management DOORS .

You can install the add-in during the PUB installation. See Installing Engineering Publishing desktop clients. If a valid installation of one of those products is found, the add-ins are automatically selected to install. However, you can also install the add-ins later. See Installing the Engineering Requirements Management DOORS add-in.
