Administration and configuration problems

The topic describes some of the problems you might encounter when you install, administer, or configure IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization Engineering Insights (Engineering Insights).

Configuring IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS as a tracked resource set (TRS) provider

When configuring IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS® as a TRS provider, you select Tools > Configure TRS. Occasionally this selection causes an error:

CRCRD7213W: Explanation The DCN's that communicate changes to the TRS are not being sent successfully. This could mean that the broker has not been set-up correctly or that communication has been lost between the DOORS Server and the broker.

User response Please contact the DOORS Administrator to check the configuration. This may involve restarting the broker.

To resolve this error, update any requirement, and then select to configure TRS again.

Upgrading Engineering Insights results in TRS license not being available

After you upgrade Engineering Insights, the TRS license might not be added to the license key manager and results in Lifecycle Query Engine indexing failure, and shows the following error:
Error 403: CRJAZ0977I The com.ibm.team.jazz.foundation.enterprise server license policy does not allow the com.ibm.team.jis.trs.read operation.
com.ibm.team.jis.lqe.http.error. HttpForbiddenException: Forbidden
if this error occurs, manually add the TRS license to the Jazz® Team Server license key manager.

Upgrading IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next

When you configure or upgrade the Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next server, problems can occur with OAuth consumer keys that make the server unusable. Buttons in the setup wizard might be disabled, or the following error might occur in the server/logs/rdm.log file:

CRJZS0033E Invalid consumer key.
