Importing views

Procedure

  1. From the menu, go to Views > Shared views folder.
  2. Click the Import icon: Import icon to open the wizard. An Import views wizard is displayed.

    Tip: Choose Automatic to preserve the original data source selection.
  3. On the Select the compressed (.ZIP) file to import step, click Browse and select the views (.ZIP) file to import.
    Tip:
    • You can specify the current project scope and conditions for the imported views.
    • The errors might occur at the time of loading imported views that were created on a different server. You must map the external artifacts Jazz® Reporting Service artifacts to the current system artifacts to prevent errors.
    If the views are organized in folders in the original project, the folder hierarchy is preserved when you import the views.
  4. Complete the following substeps to map the JRS artifacts to the system artifacts:
    1. Go to the Select the current project scope step.
    2. Select the required project area from the list in the Current project area column and click Next.
    3. On the Select the current artifacts step, click the pencil icon pencil icon that is available next to the JRS artifact that you want to map.
      • In the Select an artifact type dialog box, select the appropriate system artifact, click Ok and then click Next.

    4. On the Select the current conditions step, select the required condition from the list in the Current condition column and click Next.
    5. On the Select current links step, select the required link from the list in the Current link column. Repeat this step for all the links and click Finish.
      Important: The possible links that are displayed in the Current link column get updated based on the artifact mapping that is done in the Select the current artifacts step.
    Important: When you import a view, the associated style is also imported along with the view and available the Shared styles page.

Results

The imported view is stored in the Shared views folder.
