Configuring Kerberos/SPNEGO single sign-on authentication

You can use single sign-on for HTTP requests by using the Simple and Protected GSS-API Negotiation Mechanism (SPNEGO) web authentication for IBM WebSphere Liberty.

SPNEGO single sign-on (SSO) enables HTTP users to log in to a Microsoft® domain controller only for one time at their desktop and to achieve SSO with the Liberty server. See, Configuring SPNEGO authentication in Liberty.

Configuring IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) applications for Kerberos single sign-on (SSO) authentication requires planning your deployment and considering configuration details. Be familiar with ELM SSO authentication features/limitations. Also be familiar with configuring and administering Microsoft® Active Directory when you are using Simple and Protected GSS-API Negotiation Mechanism (SPNEGO) with WebSphere® Application Server Liberty.
