Validating reports

When the types (versioned or non-versioned) from IBM® Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or type systems from IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS® Next (DOORS Next) or IBM Engineering Test Management (ETM) are changed, the reports that use these types or type systems break in Report Builder. The Report Builder administrator must validate all reports to identify broken reports.

About this task

When the administrator validates reports, Report Builder checks whether the type system model used in each report is changed and if the types and type systems are still available in the data source. If there is a problem, the administrator can ask the report owners to manually modify the broken reports.

Procedure

  1. Open Report Builder.
  2. Go to the My Reports or All Reports page and select all the reports.
  3. Click Validate.

Results

You’ll see a green check mark green check mark beside all the report names that are valid.
