Validating reports

You can validate a single or multiple reports. When the types (versioned or non-versioned) from IBM® Engineering Workflow Management or type systems from IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS® Next or IBM Engineering Test Management , are changed, the reports that use these types or type systems break in Report Builder. The Report Builder administrator must validate all reports to identify broken reports.

1. You can validate a single or multiple reports.
   • To validate a single report, click the More actions icon for the corresponding item. 
   • To validate multiple reports, select the checkbox for the corresponding items. 
   Note: Only reports can be validated and not folders.
2. From the list of actions, click Validate.
3. When validation completes each selected report displays a validation status indicator. Click the validation status indicator to view more details. Possible validation status include: 
   • Success - Report query validated successfully. 
   • Warning - Report query ran but with issues. 
   • Error - Report query did not run. 
   Note: The validation status indicator continues to be visible till the Reports tab listing is refreshed.
4. Open a report to view additional details about the warning or error.
