Personal Streams in the Global Configuration Management application

A personal stream contains your changes only and is modifiable by only you or an administrator. Use a personal stream to privately test one or more insulated changes before you deliver them to a shared stream. You can create a personal stream from any global stream in the Global Configuration Management application.

Before you begin

  • By default, all project area members can create a personal stream and add or remove its configurations.
  • You can archive your personal Streams and restore it later if you need them, but you cannot permanently delete them.
  • Personal Streams are not strictly private. Team members with a direct URL to your personal stream can view its contents, even without permission to modify others' personal Streams or view them in searches and query results.
  • By default, only Global Configuration Management administrators or users with permission can complete tasks for other team members' personal Streams. For details, see Administering personal streams in the Global Configuration Management application.
