Changing the context root of Lifecycle Query Engine or Link Index Provider by using the response file

Currently, you cannot update the context root of Lifecycle Query Engine and LDX. Due to reasons such as multiple LQE, the user needs to update the context root of LQE. In such cases, the context root of LQE can be updated by using the response file of the Installation Manager.

Problem

The Engineering Lifecycle Management Installation Manager does not provide the facility to update the context root of LQE and LDX application. The context root of LQE and LDX during installation cannot be changed by using the Installation Manager.

Solution

You can change the context root of LQE or LDX by using the response file and doing the silent upgrade. Before you start the silent upgrade, update the response XML file and change the context root of LQE or LDX.

In the response file, you can update the value parameter with the updated context root in the following code:
